The majority of dental plans reimburse approximately 30%-80% of treatment costs. With each policy having a maximal annual allowance. With this in mind, we ask that your initial visit be paid in full due to certain plan limitations, we will submit dental insurance forms to the company to achieve your maximum reimbursement after the first visit including pre-estimates for your treatment plan. For your convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and most major credit cards. Feel free to contact our office if your treatment plan requires more comprehensive dental work and you want to discuss financial arrangements.
Dr. Sutton is a fee for service dental practice. We are not providers for most HMO/PPO plans, however its an individual patients right to seek care in an office of their choosing, regardless of whether that doctor is a provider or not. We are more than happy in assisting you in necessary paperwork for reimbursement.
Our insurance coordinators deal with many different insurance companies. We will do our best to help you with the policy you have purchased. Some companies offer many different dental plans. These companies can change benefits, co-pays and deductibles many times throughout the year. We will try our best to provide you with accurate coverage estimates based on information available to us. At times, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate our patients' insurance payment. Many insurance companies will not give out fees until after the treatment is completed. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time consuming. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is current.
Although we will gladly file your claim on your behalf, you may wish to submit the claim yourself. In general, insurers process claims filed directly by patients faster than those filed by the service providers (dental offices).
Further, most dental insurance policies are limited and often only pay for a portion of the procedure(s) that you may need.
